Alex Sierens

On August 15, 2024, Alex SIERENS passed away at the age of 70 in Ghent University Hospital.

Alex was one of the founders and for 10 years the chairman of the Board of Directors of the non-profit organization International Music Promotion. He remained a member of the board after his presidency.
He co-founded the “International Clarinet Competition Ghent”, Clarinets On Stage and various national and international competitions and festivals, always promoting young talent.

He was loved and appreciated by the international clarinet world.
